Well, it’s a new year, and I am home in Houston. The last few weeks of 2013 I was busy with preparing for the return home, and briefing my replacement from the 42d CAB (NYARNG). Then came the journey home, a few days of out processing at Fort Hood, and we were home for Christmas. After just a couple of days we took a trip to visit family, stopping in Atlanta, Fort Gordon, Fort Bragg, DC, CT, and VT. On the way back we visited Hershey, Gettysburg, Lexington (VA), and Nashville, then took the Natchez Trace Parkway to Natchez, MS, and on home. Now I’m relaxing at home, thinking about future possibilities. I’ll return to this blog as I’m able, with some more reflections on my time deployed.
