CNN speaks of a Turkish-Kurdish-Muslim Brotherhood axis, vs. an Iranian-Shia axis, and a Saudi Arabia/Gulf monarchies axis. This as the US finds itself increasingly estranged from onetime allies Egypt and Saudi Arabia. China is providing missiles to Turkey. Russia is playing the role of senior statesman.  Major shifts are taking place, that will affect the future of the region.
