I haven’t posted since March. Wow. This in a blog started back in 2002, that once had multiple posts daily, that had hundreds of readers.

What happened?

Well, life. It was easy to blog when I had an office job, and then when I was an associate pastor. But then I became senior pastor of a two church district, and I rejoined the National Guard as a chaplain. In February of this year I became a brigade chaplain.

My National Guard ministry has kept me very busy. It isn’t a one weekend a month job–not when you have suicides, suicide interventions, suicide intervention trainings, soldiers injured in car accidents, and so on. And now I’m heading towards a mobilization at the first of the year. That may give me something new to blog about.
