Walla Walla

I’m in Walla Walla, WA, for the week. I arrived yesterday, at the end of a long day of traveling, flying from Houston to Las Vegas to Portland (quick stop) to Spokane. I met a friend’s parents for lunch at the Spokane airport, then enjoyed the sunny drive down to Walla Walla. I checked into my motel, got some supper–and then went to class. I’m taking “The Development of Seventh-day Adventist Theology” with George Knight. Last night was just the meet and greet and go over the syllabus.

  1. I envy your opportunity to take a Knight class. It seems like many of the profs at Andrews I was looking forward to have moved on. Do let us know of any insights you pick up.

  2. Places to eat in Walla Walla when you’re trying to survive on a pastor’s per diem.
    *The Modern Cafe (Chinese).
*The Iceberg (vegeburgers, onion rings, and fries).
*Andy’s Market (bulk foods and sandwich fixings).
*And yes, there’s always Taco Bell!
