New England is on my mind. Maybe it’s because it is fall. Maybe because I am teaching about 17th century New England in my US history class, and remembering the places my ancestors founded like Plymouth, Boston, Lancaster, and Branford. So for supper tonight we had pumpkin, baked beans, brown bread, apples and cheese. I have some parsnips and rutabagas and acorn squash that I’ll fix in the days to come.
