Jason Cork Concert in Houston

One month from today, Saturday, June 7, at 7:00 p.m., Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church will be hosting a concert by contemporary Christian music artist Jason Cork.

Yes, he’s related to me–he’s the youngest of five Cork brothers.

According to his webpage,

Jason is a committed follower of Jesus Christ. He is dedicated to the purpose that God has for him: encouraging the body of believers through music and testimony.

He earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the Ithaca College Conservatory of Music in 1997. In 1998 he founded CrossRoad Music, and has presented almost 200 concerts in 21 states and throughout the state of Florida. After six years of teaching high school music Jason and his wife Melissa relocated to the Orlando area in 2004. In March of 2007 they welcomed their first child, Sadie, into the family.

Jason has appeared on 3 Angels Broadcasting Network, the Hope Channel, and appeared as a National Platform Artist with Operation Starting Line, a prison ministry affiliated with Prison Fellowship. He is an Artist Associate with World Vision.

Jason has produced two albums of original music: “The Road to Heaven” in 1998 and “Seek You First” in 2003. His latest CD, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”, is a collection of hymns and inspirational songs, and is distributed by Chapel Music.

In 2005 Jason was invited to sing at the White House as part of the Pageant of Peace.

You can find him on iTunes, or you can sample music on his webpage, JasonCork.com.
