Evangelical Catholicism

John Allen reports on a discussion of Evangelical Catholicism at University of Dayton. The speakers all agreed it was an important movement, but weren’t agreed on what it is. All are agreed it is especially a way to talk about the energy and enthusiasm young Catholics have for their faith, and sharing it.

That certainly describes the strongest segment of the young adult population I worked most in my days with the archdiocese. This was especially evident on retreats such as Bayou Awakening. Bayou #11 starts today, by the way. I’d invite you to pray for the young people who will be on this retreat.
