Liberty Revival Church is one of those churches that is on the avant-garde. They are different, and they want you to know it. They don’t meet on Sundays, but on Friday nights (so you can have “weekends free”). They speak a sort of evangelical/charismatic language, of “discipleship” and “apostolicity.” They are about “liberty,” “revival,” “deliverance,” and “equipping.”

What does “liberty” mean to them?

We are to set the captives free. We are primarily an inner court ministry that God is using to take those who have been in religious bondage, religious legalism and the traditions of men, and set them free! It is one thing to be saved, but quite another to be discipled and free!

And I guess that is why they are having Richard Rohr speak this weekend. Some more thoughts from the pastor on Rohr’s message.
