Oak Leaves

Above the Law

Last year we heard of Jamie Leigh Jones, the Halliburton/KBR employee who claimed she was raped by her co-workers, and that the rape covered up by KBR.

Last month, another woman said the same thing happened to her.

This week there are reports that Iraqi employees at the British embassy in Baghdad were sexually harassed and abused by KBR managers.

Today, a KBR driver in Iraq was arrested for child pornography. He had previously been fired by them for the same offense, but was rehired.

Meanwhile, the mercenary corporation Blackwater will not face charges for the criminal conduct of its employees.

It’s long past time to pull the plug on KBR and Blackwater and launch a congressional inquiry into all aspects of today’s mercenary subculture.
