Any of my blog readers in Texas have a canoe they’d like to part with? After paddling about with my son last weekend, I’ve thought it time to get one of my own. Prices are steep for a new one. We visited Canoesport on Bissonnet earlier this week (and were impressed by the very friendly, knowledgeable owners!), but prices for new canoes are a little more than the budget can handle–new canoe, together with paddles, cartop carrier, and life-jackets would run about $2000.
Let me know if you have one to sell cheap. In the meantime, I’m keeping an eye on Craig’s List, The Green Sheet, the Chronicle, and eBay.
